Save yourself from frustration by properly researching the storage building you want before purchasing.
Making an expensive purchase can be intimidating. Researching products can take a lot of time and energy. If you're prepared to spend a significant amount of money, there's no doubt that you want the best option available.
Because you want to find your ideal product at the best price possible, it's important to shop around. During the process, it's good to ask important questions that, when answered, may encourage or discourage you from purchasing with a particular vendor. You may find the lowest price, but if the company can't accommodate your need for a payment plan or delivery, for instance, then you should consider taking your business elsewhere.
The same applies to shed shopping. Once you know what storage building style you need and you're ready to compare prices, be sure to ask these eight questions before you make the purchase. How far away do you deliver and is there a fee?
Our answer: The first 100 miles from our factory and office (47809 155th St.
Milbank, SD 57252) and within 20 miles from any of our display lots is free. Anything beyond is $4 per mile one way. Escort fees may apply for 14′ and 16′ wide buildings. Watch how our delivery process works.
How much of a deposit is required?
Our answer: A minimum deposit of $800 is needed for nearly all our buildings, though this may vary with specialty buildings. Preferred payment methods for making a deposit are check, money order, and credit card.
What payment options do you offer?
Our answer: You can purchase our buildings three ways: buy outright, finance, or rent to own. Please note that rent to own is not available in Minnesota. Learn more about our payment options.
Do you offer a warranty?
Our answer: We provide a 6 Year Top to Bottom Limited Warranty. We will take responsibility for any manufacture related deficiencies - your satisfaction is our guarantee!
As an owner of a storage building, please understand that normal wear and tear, fading of exterior surfaces, and general aging, which is common of any outdoor product that is exposed to natural elements, is not covered under out warranty. Can you build on site or do you offer delivery only?
Our answer: All of our storage buildings can be built on-site or delivered to your property. When you choose the on-site construction option, all building specifications stay the same. To make the onsite building process move quickly, we prefabricate the shed in our factory and then transport the sections for assembly on your property.
Do I need a building permit?
Our answer: Unfortunately, the answer isn't the same for everyone. Municipalities, counties, and cities can handle permits differently. However, we can say with confidence that most buildings do require a permit, especially for residents in a town or city where there are often restrictions on size, color, or placement of a building. How long will it take to receive my shed?
Our answer: It can take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the time of year. In spring and summer, production-to-delivery time is typically 4 to 8 weeks, while in fall and winter, it may only take 2 weeks.
