Here are some considerations, information, photos and ideas about preparing to receive and install your building.
Is There Enough Room?
You should consider if there is enough room for the truck and trailer to maneuver to the building site. Our truck and trailer combination is approximately 45' long and a full 8' wide. To get an idea about how much room it will take to maneuver, imagine a long pick-up pulling a large boat.
Think about septic tanks, power lines, shrubbery, trees, and tree limbs. Often the building appears larger on the trailer in your yard that it does on the ground at the lot. Many buildings are 13'6' tall on the trailer.
What kind of Foundation?
There are three ways to prepare your foundation.
Option 1:
First, the most common way is to use blocks similar to those used in mobile homes.
**Option 2 (recommended):
The second choice is a perfectly flat gravel pad. Another option is a concrete pad.
** We believe the second option is the best choice in most cases. It is economical and the whole building rests on the ground, distributing the weight evenly. The step into the building is not as high. This is especially recommended for buildings 12' x 16' and larger.
