All buildings manufactured by Dakota Storage Buildings, LLC come with a Top to Bottom Limited Warranty Certificate. Warranties are nontransferable and apply only to the original purchaser and location. Relocating products by any party automatically invalidates these warranties.
These warranties do not apply to any Dakota Storage Buildings, LLC product or part which has been damaged by adverse weather conditions, earthquake, hail, wind, fire, water, flood, earth movement, accidents, theft, vandalism, an act of God, or any instance customarily covered by homeowners insurance.
When used appropriately and maintained properly, Dakota Storage Buildings, LLC guarantees that products will remain structurally sound. Normal wear and tear, fading of exterior surfaces, and general aging, which is characteristic of any outdoor product that is exposed to natural elements, is not covered under the warranties.
As with any building which is located on top of the ground, settling may occur. Buildings need periodic cleaning, painting, and caulking, and vegetation should not be planted around the edges of the structure, which could lead to restricted ventilation.
This is something that must always be checked into with your local municipality, county or city business officials. Most buildings require permits, especially for residents in a town or city where there are often restrictions on size, color, or placement of a building. Check out our building permits page that details how and where to go to find out what is required in your area.
A deposit of at least $800 is needed with nearly all our buildings, though this may vary with specialty buildings. Preferred payment methods for making a deposit are check and money order, though we do also accept credit card.

Yes, if you are unsure of the color samples in our catalogue or website, please call and we will mail out a sample, free of charge.
Anywhere from 2-8 weeks, depending on the time of year the shed is ordered. In spring and summer the production-to-delivery time is typically 6-8 weeks, while in fall and winter it might take approximately 2 weeks or less.
Absolutely. Once the shed is built and ready to go our delivery department will call you to set up a convenient time for delivery that works with both your schedule and the driver in charge of delivery. In winter you will typically receive a call from us approximately 1-4 days after the building is completed, and in summer this will often take several days longer.
The most important part of a foundation site for a shed or garage is a perfectly level base, otherwise the shed frame may twist and opening of doors and windows will be difficult. We recommend several inches of Class 5 (road gravel) or granite fines, and for the base to be compacted.
The first 100 miles are free from where the factory and offices are located, and a radius of 20 miles from any display area
