Tips for a Snowmobile-Ready Garage

If you have a snowmobile, you’re probably waiting for the arrival of sled-worthy snow. From trails to off-roading adventures, who doesn’t love the rush of riding through winter’s wonderland? Until then, make sure your snowmobile and garage (or storage unit) are ready. Here are a few helpful reminders.

Snowmobile Maintenance

Remember that pre-ride maintenance is essential. From the exhaust system to electrical components, your snowmobile will need a once-over before the first snow. If you’re not sure where to begin or just need a refresher, click here for a detailed instructions.

Garage Preparations

Once your snowmobile is ready, prep your garage. Doing this will eliminate potential problems and frustrations.

If you don’t have a garage or an outdoor storage solution for your snowmobile, consider one of our garage style sheds. They are versatile, functional, and affordable.

Here are some tips for prepping your garage:

  • Before removing your snowmobile from your garage, make sure the floor is protected from nicks and scrapes by laying an inexpensive mat or investing in a more durable solution.
  • Make sure your lift and/or dolly system(s) work properly. You should be able to easily get your snowmobile out of your garage and into the back of your vehicle.
  • If you plan on making repairs to your snowmobile at home, make sure you have a well-equipped workstation with the right tools. Consider these helpful tips as you evaluate your current station.

‘Tis the Season

Once your snowmobile and garage are prepped, you’ll be ready for the fun season ahead. As you enjoy the great outdoors, please remember to take all proper safety precautions along the way. ‘Tis the season for fun in the snow!
